VBS Announcement

Vacation Bible School this year will be a one-day affair, on Saturday, August 29. The theme will be "Under Construction." Any donations of items to use as props or decorations would be appreciated. We will need help with classes on that Saturday as well as people willing to bring food for breakfast, lunch and snacks. See Millissa Macomber with questions. Thanks to Millissa for stepping up to the plate and organizing this year's program.

Notes from July 12th

From Jeanie Young: "Praise God! Leron Johnson, our son's friend who had a liver transplant 1 1/2 years ago, is finally doing better! Please also keep our neighbors, the Carabbas, in your prayers. John is in a coma and expected to pass on anytime."

From Becky Williamson: "Thank You for your prayers on my behalf -- it is comforting to know God has been petitioned on my behalf. Also thank you for your prayers on behalf of Terrie Taylor, Kamalyn Williamson's mother -- she came through her heart surgery well and may be coming home on Monday."

Visiting with us Sunday were Laurence and Pauline Coblentz from Fort Myers, FL. They will be attending a family reunion in eastern Washington.

Hazel Holden

Hazel Holden is now out of the hospital and back and John & Trish Gaines' house. She is now under hospice care. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.

Health Notes

Ruth Lake Wilkison went home from the hospital today after having a pacemaker implanted yesterday. She was feeling better already, but will return for some outpatient tests and possibly another procedure next week.

Hazel Holden (Trish Gaines' mother) is still hospitalized at United General in Sedro-Woolley. She is taking IV antibiotics for infection as well as treatment for dehydration.

Please keep both Ruth Lake and Hazel in your prayers.

1) Please pray for our neighbor, John Carabba, who is 83. He fell and broke his hip Friday evening. He had his hip replaced yesterday evening and is having a hard time waking up from the surgery.

Accident in Bolivia

Earlier this week, sixteen people from the Cochabamba Church of Christ in Bolivia, South America were on their way to a youth retreat when their bus went over the edge of the road and fell 70-100 yards. The bus, driver and assistant had been contracted for the trip. Of the group, there were 12 teens and four adults. As of last word, three teenage girls died in the crash. Two other people are in serious condition. Your prayers are needed, especially for Jonathan Sandoval, one of the American workers with the group who remains in serious condition. Some of the Bolivian church members may need help with medical and/or funeral expenses because of the wreck.
