Remember to set your clock back an hour before you go to bed tomorrow night. (Unless you're not in the habit of coming to Sunday School. If that's the case, then forget about your clock and get here at 9:30 instead of 10:30 Sunday morning. We'll be glad to have you in class!!!)
Ruth Lake Wilkison continues to make improvements after experiencing a stroke on Wednesday. She is still having difficulty with her speech, but it is much better than Wednesday night. She is in room 228 at Island Hospital in Anacortes.

Ruth Lake Wilkison
Ruth Lake did have a stroke Wednesday afternoon about 4:30. She was taken to the hospital in Anacortes by ambulance and was later admitted to Room 228. Her condition seems stable, and she has made good progress in regaining some of the functions she had lost. Her speech remains affected. More tests will be run on Thursday to determine what caused the stroke. Please keep Ruth Lake and Jim in your prayers.

New Church Directories; Bible Text Link
Finally, the new church directories are available in the foyer of the church building. Be sure to pick up one or two copies Wednesday night or Sunday.
Here's a link to another article dealing with the Bible text used for translations of the Bible into English. We will not be spending much more time on this in our Wednesday night class, but I want to make additional information available to those interested in doing further study on their own.

Wednesday Night Prayer Requests
Leta Pollock was not feeling well tonight.
Various members of the Adams family are sick. Melissa, Cathi, and Cathi's mom have all had the H1N1 flu. Andy has also been sick, but they think it's a cold, but not the flu. Cathi still has back surgery scheduled in early November.
Judy Hill's mom will be traveling on Saturday. Judy's brother came home from the hospital today.
Sandra Todd asked for prayers relating to some problems she has been having with co-workers.
Karla Williamson's dad has not been feeling well. She asks that we pray for him that he can sleep better and deal with the frustration he has dealing with Parkinson's disease. Karla also asked for prayers for strength for herself.
John Gaines' sister, Ruth Haynes, was the victim of a home invasion last week. She was not injured physically and the robbers did not take much of value, but she has been very stressed and not sleeping well. Please pray that she can put this behind her and live at peace and without fear.
Please pray for "Grandma" Jones and for Becky Williamson. Robb Williamson is going to be flying in for a short visit; pray for his safe travel.
Becky Hedman's brother had surgery.
Sky Brown asked for prayers of thanksgiving that Nathan and Amber are safe, although they were involved in an accident this week when their car spun out on the interstate.
Ethan Hasenoehrl asked for prayers for his dad, Jon.
Prayers requested for Judy Fair that she will be able to return to church soon.
Prayers requested for older members of the church who are dealing with health problems. Special mention was made of the Juntenens who have not been doing well.
Prayers were requested for Andrew Hill and for Tanna Hobbs & her fiance Derek that they can make good decisions as they face important life choices.
Prayers requested for the men of the church as they meet in a business meeting tonight.

Melissa Adams
A note from Cathi Adams says that Melissa has tested positive for swine flu. Pray that she will recover quickly and that the virus won't spread through their family.
