• Adam and Paula Williamson will be leaving for the Bahamas next Sunday. Please pray that this coming week will go smoothly.
• Pray for Melody Williamson and her children as they will be traveling tomorrow to come up here from Oregon.  -- Lydia Williamson
• From Cathi Adams:  Pray for my sister, Diane, for physical and spiritual healing, and for my mom, who is taking care of her.  Also for Jeannie Young who is traveling to the Bahamas in the middle of the big storm on the East Coast.
• Bruce Weicht's mother passed away Saturday. Please remember Bruce and Carol and their family in your prayers. They will be traveling to Pennsylvania this week.  -- Steve Wilkison
• Praise from Ruth Lake & Jim Wilkison:  Jim and Laura White brought supper over to us last night. The entre was prepared by Jim.  We had an enjoyable time as we watched Alabama beat Mississippi State.
• Please keep Vivian Pitner in your prayers. She is having some serious health problems.
• Please remember our elders and appreciate the good works they do and their dedication to the Lord.

October 21 Notes and Prayer Requests

LTC NEWS:  Puppet practice this Wednesday. Bring yur puppets and be ready to work.  We still have a few open Wednesday night slots for anyone who would like to work with our LTCers.  There is a tentative Bible Bowl challenge with Christ Heritage church on November 18.  Thanks to Karla for planning Saturday's LTC service project.  Thank you also to everyone who participated!

BIBLE SCHOOL:  Our first teaching quarter ends next week.  Thank you to out teachers.  On November 4, the following teachers start their teaching terms:

October 17, 2012

Andy Adams cut his finger at work this week. It required stitches and has been quite painful. He is also dealing with a bad cold.

Rentz Gullick traveled to Texas today.  He is expected to be home on Thursday of next week.

Betty Brown is home (at Dick and Jody's) recuperating from shoulder surgery last Friday.

Becky Williamson continues her recuperation from back surgery. She continues to have to deal with a lot of pain.

Debbie Wilkison is recuperating from surgery on her foot.

Jim White's sister, Anita White, is having more heart problems. Jim and Laura request our prayers on Anita's behalf.

Cathi Adams' sister is having cancer surgery Thursday at Univ. of Washington Hospital in Seattle.  Prayers are requested for her physical and spiritual health.

Other prayer requests were made for Mary Pendergrass, for the Canadian border agent who was shot earlier in the week, for Grandma Jones, for Wanda Sell, for Leta Pollock, for people to vote to uphold God's view of marriage on the R-74 measure, and for the presidential election.

ADDITIONAL NOTE:  Not mentioned Wednesday night, but please remember Michigan gospel preacher Terry Dow who has been missing since Tuesday. Pray for his safety.

"Pray for Betty Brown (who is scheduled for shoulder surgery on Friday).  She expects to be hospitalized several days, followed by some time in a rehab facility.

Remember that next Sunday is the time for our Second Sunday Potluck following morning services. Afterwards, we will plan to go to the Area-Wide Singing at Mount Vernon Church of Christ.

Wednesday Night Prayer Requests

From October 3rd --

Your thoughts and prayers are requested for Mary Pendergrass's mom who is to undergo an ultrasound test for a lump under her arm on Thursday.

Jim and Laura White also need our prayers.  Jim is undergoing a medical procedure on Thursday. Laura is in Montana dealing with some repercussions from damage done to their rental property there. She hopes to be home in a few days.

Trish Gaines was home Wednesday night with a migraine.

Judy and Allen Hill are leaving later this week to return to work on a relative's ranch in California. They expect to be away about six weeks.

Betty Brown is scheduled for surgery on her shoulder on Friday. Pray that all goes well and that she heals quickly.

Please continue to remember Becky Williamson and Debbie Wilkison as they recuperate from their surgeries.

Pray for Leta's cousin's family. He recently passed away.

Mary Pendergrass's brother and his wife are expecting the arrival of their baby soon. Please pray that all goes well.

Pray for our country and for the presidential candidates and leaders to have wisdom to lead in a way that honors God.

Pray for our inactive/unfaithful members to realize their need for the Lord so that they can choose to return to him.

Praise that Jud Hobbs received his hang-gliding certification.  (And pray for his continued safety!!!)
