Final Edition (May 31 Prayer Requests and Notes)

With this post, this blog will go dormant as my ministry with the Skagit Valley church comes to an end in a week.  It is expected that a new blog serving the same purpose will be started in the near future.  I will edit this post to include the link when that is made available.

This blog will continue to be accessible for the near-term future, but will not have new content posted.

• Prayers for Ann as she continues her chemo treatment.  Doctors are concerned about her kidneys.  She will have some tests done this week.  Prayers also for Andrew as he finishes his teaching semester in China and plans some final outreach activities, that God will continue to water the seeds that are planted.  The Adams family

Wednesday Prayer Requests - May 27, 2015

Here are prayer request from Wednesday night:

• Prayers requested for Tiffany Gaines and her children as they travel back to the U. S. so four-year-old Josiah can have medical tests done and interpreted by a neurologist.  He has being having what may be a rare form of seizures.  Prayers also for Daniel Gaines  (John's son) who is remaining behind in Tanzania to continue the mission work he is doing.
• Prayers for Mindy Singleton who has been having severe pain in her wrist.
• Prayers for all who have been affected by the flooding in Texas and Oklahoma.
• Prayers for Ann Dale as she continues chemotherapy treatment.
• Prayers for Trevor (as the process continues for a job with the Highway Patrol) and for Melissa who is sick tonight.
• Prayers for those involved in a car wreck in the area today.
• Prayers for Rentz that tomorrow's chemo treatment will go well.
• Becky asked prayers for Joe Williamson who is flying to Nebraska to visit his sister.
• Prayers for safe travel for the Sotos as they travel up from California. This family will visit with us this weekend concerning our search for a new preacher.

Prayers carried over from previous requests:

• Prayers for the Gaineses as they prepare to move to Alabama. John has accepted a new preaching work in Snead, AL.  His last Sunday here will be June 7.
• Prayers for David and Stephanie Herbison while they are traveling.  David will be in England for several weeks.
• Praise that Wanda Sell's granddaughter Kyleigh has been pronounced cancer-free.

Prayer Requests

• Please pray for Mrs. Marge Easley and Mr. Rentz Gullick. Thank you.  Evelyn
• Prayers for all the people that are struggling with addiction, pray that they will step away from the temptation.
• Continue to pray for the mission work (and mission workers) in Nepal and pray for those affected by the earthquakes.  Trevor Rigdon
• Please pray for my dad as he is dealing with side effects from meds.  Thank you.  Karla
• Continue to remember James Dickerson as he struggles with some persistent problems.
• Prayers for Nancy's cousin Dawn and a friend Jeannie.  Both a fighting cancer.  And ofr course for Rentz and his ongoing battle with cancer.  Jay Pace
• Please pray for God to heal me and to give me strength to endure.  Also prayers for my husband who will be traveling here from Nevada to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary.  Terri Elston
• Ann started her chemo last week and hasn't responded well to it.  She's had insomnia and has been very weak and dizzy.  Please pray that we can adequately care for her and that she will soon know relief from this.  Adams family

April 26, 2015 Notes

• Happy 90th Birthday to Alma Jones,  Becky Williamson's mother and John Williamson's grandmother.  Her celebration is going on this afternoon.

TODAY'S PRAYER REQUESTS

• Please pray for Nicolas. He has dental surgery this upcoming Friday, May 1st.  
• Praise that Allen Burke got the new job with the military.  Pray for Becca, Tara, and Silas who will be without a husband or parent for seven months.
• Melissa and Musset are driving home -- they made it safely to Denver last night.  They will start again Monday morning and will arrive home Tuesday.  Please pray for their safety as they drive. (Adamses)
• Please pray for Mrs. Marge Easley and also pray for a motorcyclist who got hit last night.  (Evelyn)
• Pray for our friend Elijah who had a seizure yesterday (Joseph Williamson)
• James is requesting prayers for some ongoing struggles that he has been dealing with.
• Madeline is home sick today. Pray for a quick recovering and for the rest of us to stay healthy. (Karee)
• Pray for Rentz and for Danny Brisky and Lanny Jacobs who are battling cancer. Also for the earthquake and aftermath survivors in Nepal.

• Please continue to remember Rentz Gullick. He continues his chemo treatments and has been experiencing considerable pain lately.
• Pray for all those traveling back from LTC today. They did great in the competitions!
• Praise for Audrey Hastings for all she did to help the kids on LTC activities.
• Andy Adams asks prayers for Ann Dale who had a bad reaction to anesthesia while having a root canal last week.  Cathi is home taking care of her today.  Also Melissa and her fiance Musset will be driving from Oklahoma City within the next few days. Pray for their safe passage.
• Andrew Lindahl asks prayers for Debra Lindahl who has a lump that concerns her doctors.

April 5 - Happy Resurrection Sunday!

• Please announce the Mariner Group Night on Friday, May 8th.  Tickets $12; payment deadline is Wednesday April 22.  Pay Steve Woodward or David Herbison.
• Lonnie and Jadis Humpal ask for prayers (1) for Jadis' sister Gloria whose liver cancer has returned, 2) for a safe move to Wenatchee Tuesday, and 3) for Lonnie's mom who is still struggling with the death of his dad, Richard.  They also thank us for making them welcome during their time in Burlington.  We wish Lonnie and Jadis well as they relocate to central Washington, where Jadis has been working for some time.
• Candy Hobbs taks all who pitched in and helped with Tanna & Derek's situation.
• Steve Woodward's brother, Mike, has surgery on April 7.  Please remember him in your prayers.

• Praise for Lydia and Terry's decisions to follow Jesus Christ. Also pray for Grandma Jones' physical and spiritual health.
• Praise God for Andrew's commitment. We got a text saying 'Whatever the outcome, God's will be done!'  He could have done something else but he had the Bible study, no matter what the outcome would be.  He could have been fired and deported.  I praise God for his faith.  The professor wanted to learn English and he is coming to church.  ...Andy Adams 
• "Please pray for the Blakeney family back in Texas.  Gary Blakeney passed away suddenly Friday after a brain aneurysm burst unknowingly.  I was at LCU with his children Caleb and Sarah and am still friends with them.  Gary preached at Bertram Church of Christ for years." ...Stephanie Herbison
