July 29 Prayer Notes

• "I will be leaving Friday for a fishing trip to Alaska. Please pray for my safety and wellbeing." Jim Wilkison
• "Praise for the birth of Levi Daniel Gaines early yesterday morning in Bowling Green, KY. Baby and mom are both doing well."  John Gaines
• Prayer requests from Andy and Cathi Adams: "1) For Andrew's safety today as he returns to Texas after a week in Missouri, and praise to God for blessing him with an "awesome" week at camp; 2) For Cathi's sister, Diane who started chemo this week and is very sick. Pray that her heart will soften and be open to God's healing; (3) Praise, praise, & praise and many heartfelt thanks to John W., John G., Mike M., Steve W. and Rodney for moving us yesterday. We love you. (4) For Cati -- she is home from the hospital but still struggling -- pray that she will find strength and hope to move on with her live. Some notes and cards would really encourage her and I can give her address to whoever would like to write her. Thank you to our brothers and sisters for loving us and always being there to support us with your prayers. Also, we are flying to Texas this week to see Andrew -- pray for safe travel."

Prayer List from July 18

Please remember in your prayers:

• Kim Morris (friend of the Gaineses in Flordia) who is near the end of her battle with liver cancer. She is a faithful Christian. Pray for her husband Billy, and her son Garrett and daughter Megan.
• Tiffany Gaines has made it to the stage where her baby can be delivered safely. She is no longer on bedrest. Pray that the delivery will go well for baby and mom.
• Judy Hill (her doctor reported that she definitely does not have MS)
• Cathi Adams (pray for peace and wisdom and for the Adamses to find a place to move)
• Becky Williamson, who is home sick.
• Eli Blunt asked for prayers for all the mommies and daddies.
• Newman family with them having to find a new place to live and get moved.
• Praise for Karen Hasenoehrl, who learned that her teaching certificate is still valid. She is hoping to get a job teaching this next school year.
• Allen and Judy Hill, who will be traveling to Oregon this weekend.
• Praise and prayers for Tanna and Derek Barcalow, who have learned that they are expecting another baby.
• Trevor Hasenoehrl  for motivation as he tries to accomplish his goals
• Becca and Allen Burke, for their spiritual growth
• Cathi Adams' sister, Diane, for health problems and for her return to the Lord.

Updated Prayer Requests - July 15th

• Please pray for my parents. They're having to sell almost all of their cattle because of the drought. Missouri has been declared a disaster area and they can get loans to buy feed, but unfortunately there is no feed or hay to buy.    -- Mary Pendergrass
• Pray for the Ryan family, for my Papa, for Amanda DeLange's family, and for Cathi Adams' sister.  -- Faith Williamson
• Prayers for safe travels for our friends, the Johnstons, who will be coming to visit next week. Thanks.  -- the Williamsons
• Please remember the family of Mary Conklin, whose memorial service will be Saturday the 21st at 1 p.m. at the church of Christ in Mount Vernon.
• Chuck Freeman is hospitalized with some minor stroking. Pray that he will heal and be able to alter his lifestyle.
• We are glad to have Audrey here from Kennewick.
• Amanda de Lange, Sophia's foster mom in China, passed away from cancer yesterday. Prayers for those who are grieving ove rher loss, but also a prayer of thanksgiving for the amazing life she lived. She dedicated her life to saving orphans in China and made a huge impace on many people. Our family is so grateful for the home, the love, and the opportunity to be adopted that she gave to our Sophia.  We wouldn't have her if it weren't for Amanda.  Please pray that God will cause something good to come about even through Amanda's death.  -- the Blunts

• Please pray for Daniel and Tiffany Gaines. Tiffany has been having labor contractions for a week and a half.  They thought the baby was coming last night and went to the hospital, but they were able to slow them down and sent her home. She will be 35 weeks on Thursday. Her doctors are trying hard to keep her from giving birth before then.  -- John Gaines

• Praise for Jean Gullick's healing and pray that she is not in pain. (Jean suffered a fall last week).
• Praise for Derek Barcalow's new job.
• Pray for my sister Diane, for her salvation. Continued praise for Cati's return to good health ...Cathi Adams
• Pray for Tiffany Gaines (John's daughter-in-law) who is on complete bedrest trying to delay the birth of her baby until he matures a little more.  She is 33 weeks into her pregnancy.

Wednesday Night Prayer Updates

Here are some of the prayer requests made on Wednesday night, June 20th:

• Pray for Becky Williamson who is having a great deal of hip pain. She had physical therapy today that aggravated her pain.
• Cathi Adams had oral surgery and other dental work on Wednesday.
• Remember the family of Ted Thompson who passed away last week.  No funeral will be held, but the family may have a celebration of his life later.  Also, please continue to remember the family of our late brother Elmer Juntenen in your prayers as they go through their mourning process.
• Prayers for Anita White (Jim's sister) and Diane, Cathi Adams' sister ... both have major surgeries this week.
• Thanksgiving that Shari & Jonathan Natal returned safely from their trip to New York. Please continue praying that all will work out well with the purchase of their house.
• Jud Hobbs also asks prayers for Allen & Becca Burke for their hearts to be softened and for them to return to the Lord.
• Prayers asked for Judy Hill, for good results from the medical tests she had earlier this week.
• Prayers for a safe return home for David Picinich.

Wednesday Night Prayer Requests

• Candy Hobbs asks prayers for Shari and Jonathan as they are traveling in New York and for their house purchase (closing scheduled for near the end of the month).
• David Picinich asks prayers for he and Casey to get matched soon with the children they want to adopt.
• Laura White asks prayers for her sister, Roseanna who is losing her job.
• Jim Briskey reminds us that we should be prayerfully thankful for all of our blessings.
• Prayers requested for Allen and Becca that they could have spiritual renewal in their lives.
• Prayers requested for the Adamses, and especially for Cathi's sister who who been diagnosed with cancer.
• Jud asked that we pray to be more aware and mindful of our anger (and for God's help in giving us strength to control it).
• Laura White's nephew Lester injured his back and faces surgery soon.  Also Ryan Brunette lost a leg in Afghanistan.
• Rentz's nephew, Al Green, continues with chemotherapy treatments.
• Karla asked prayers for Jacob Doran who is undergoing treatments for liver cancer. He flew to Germany for treatments.
• Candy offered praise that Tara's back is showing improvements and for her continued good growth.
• Prayers for Becky Williamson, who has pain in her hips.
• Eli Blunt asked prayers for his mom and dad.

June 3rd

• Happy 25th Anniversary to Tom & Judy Fair. Judy's note says, "Happy 25th anniversary Tom.  How about 25 more?"
• Continue to pray for Lee Singleton's Aunt Jude that she may be healed of her cancer.
• Jim Wilkison reports, "A melonoma was removed from my left cheek last Tuesday.  A basil cell cancer will be removed from my neck on Wednesday.  Please pray for a complete recovery."
• Cathi Adams asks prayers for her sister Diane, who found out this week that she has cancer in her upper intestine and it looks like it has spread to her pancreas and colon.  "Surgery will happen ASAP. She has been away from the Lord for many years. We're praying that God will use us and provide opportunities for us to minister to her and her family in this situation."
• Candy Hobbs asks us to pray for safe travel for Shari and Jonathan while they are in New York for two weeks. Also, the closing on their house is scheduled for June 27th.  Pray that it will go well.
• Casey and Darcie Newman ask us to pray for their family as they face many struggles and pray for all those who are going through hard times.
• Mary Conklin is in Skagit Valley Hospital and will be going to Life Care Center in Sedro-Woolley the first part of the week for a week or so.
• Jeannie Young write, "Please pray for a safe trip up here for Andy, Stacy, and Ella (our son's family) and their friends the Bevenses.  They are all flying up from Lubbock, TX this week.  Please also pray for safety as they'll be in Seattle for a couple of days."
