Prayer Concerns - April 20

Prayer notes turned in this morning:

• Jim Wilkison is home recovering from the radiation treatments for his melanoma. One more treatment to go. Radiation has left him very weak.
• Becky Williamson asks us to please be praying for her sister's family that they will have a good day today. Also be praying for Robb and his family as they are going through some difficult times.
• Karla asks prayers "for the sick, suffering, and saddened in heart and spirit."
• Joseph asked us to pray for building up the church.
• Cati Adams asks us to pray for her Grandma (Ann Dale) as she has some kind of stomach bug and for some problems she is having in taking her medicines correctly.
• Please pray for a safe trip home for Jud and Candy Hobbs along with grandchildren Tara & Silas Burke and Nicolas Barcalow. They are coming home from Oregon today.
• Prayers also for Jim and Laura White who are home sick today and Judy and Allen Hill for a safe journey as they travel home this week.
• Also prayers for Lonnie Humpal. He is traveling to Denver today. Pray for him to get a good diagnosis and an effective treatment plan from the doctors who will be examining and consulting with him.
• Lydia Williamson asks us to pray for Marge Easley, and for Mia and Lynzie, and Mr. Brisky who are fighting cancer. She also offers a praise that we have a nice building for worship.

Announcements

• The Village of Hope mission trip will be planned for sometime in October. But final dates will have to be worked out with the Village depending on our group size and the available room in their guest house.  Next week after the potluck, there will be a quick meeting for anyone who is interested.  The meeting is to get a final count on all who are interested as well as to bring up any questions you may have.  There is some information posted on the board in the hall, as well as a sign-up sheet.  If you have questions about this, please see Jacob Hill.
• Karla Williamson will be hosting a "Sole Hope" shoe party on Friday May 9th from 7-9 p.m.  This will be to cut patterns from denim that will be shipped to Uganda in Africa, where it will be sewed into shoes for children there.  Solid shoes are greatly needed to keep the children from getting parasites (called "jiggers") in their feet, which are very painful and can cause serious injury if not properly treated. Karla needs donations of denim (old jeans, skirts, etc.) that can be cut to the appropriate sizes.  Everyone is welcome to participate. See Karla for more details.

Prayer Requests

• Please keep my friend, Kristy Thompson, in prayer -  she is on bed rest because she went into labor several weeks early.  She is having to stay at Women & Children's Hospital in Columbia, MO.  Her husband Chris is working, going to school, and taking care of their son Eli. -- Mary Pendergrass

• Judy Hill's brother's memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday.  Allen & Judy will leave for Las Vegas and California on Wednesday. Pray for comfort and a safe journey for them.  -- Rentz

• Prayers for Ann Dale.  She has a lot of stomach pain from inhection in her intestines.  Cathi is taking her to ER this morning. Cathi's back is still hurting from trying to help her mom up after a fall Ann had a few days ago. Cathi is also so tired each day from taking care of her mom.  Prayers also for Cathi's sister Diane who has terminal cancer. Pray for her salvation.  For me, pray that I can be a servant to Cathi and lighten her load and to keep my focus on God and not myself.   -- Andy Adams

Anyone who has a helium machine they can loan to the Ladies' Retreat, please see Mindy Singleton.  Also, we need about 50 (medium/small) bags of wrapped candy (or 10 large bags).  Please donate this to Mindy ASAP for the Ladies Retreat.

March 26 Prayer Requests

Please keep Kenny Pearson in your prayers. His health has made it necessary for him to give up the major part of his prison evangelism ministry.  Pray for his physical and emotional well-being as he goes through major life changes.

Pray for Monda Woodward's mom as she recuperates from surgery and for Monda and Spencer as they travel back home.

Pray for Judy Hill's brother, Kenny Mackey. He is in hospice care and is not doing well.

Pray for the Lawson family. John's heart is not doing well and Sue Ann's brother passed away.

Karee Blunt and Olivia Blunt were both home sick Wednesday night.

Becky Williamson asked prayers 1) for those affected by the Oso mudslide and for the missing to be found and 2) for herself for healing from a root canal procedure she had two weeks ago, which has continued to cause her pain.  She has a follow-up appointment on Thursday.

Pray for Jim Wilkison as he begins a short series of radiation treatments on the area where his melanoma was removed.

Pray for the Adamses (and especially for Cathi's mom, Ann Dale) as they experience some continuing problems.

Continue to remember Vivian Pitner in your daily prayers.

Pray for Mindy Singleton's foot as she continues to heal from surgery.
