February 8 Notes

• Our sympathy to Tom Fair in the death of his mother, Mavis Fair.  She passed away Saturday.  Her service will be next Saturday, February 14th at 10 a.m. at Hulbush Funeral Home in Burlington.

February 1 Notes

• Thank you to Paige for making this month's fish-shaped communion bread.
• There is an invitation to Brian and Karen's wedding on the bulletin board. All are invited on March 14 at 1:26 p.m., to celebrate.  Instead of gifts, guests may bring a pie to share at the reception, which will also be here at the building.  (If you're wondering why the pies, you might find a clue in the date in numbers:  3.1415.....)
• Please pray for the whole Lawson family from Portal Way Church of Christ. Our dear friend John, Sr., is dying and hospice has been brought in now.  This is hard for all of us.  Thanks, (The Singletons)

January 25, 2015 Prayer Requests

• Praise for Lydia and Terry's decisions to follow Jesus Christ. Also pray for Grandma Jones' physical and spiritual health.
• Praise God for Andrew's commitment. We got a text saying 'Whatever the outcome, God's will be done!'  He could have done something else but he had the Bible study, no matter what the outcome would be.  He could have been fired and deported.  I praise God for his faith.  The professor wanted to learn English and he is coming to church.  ...Andy Adams 
• "Please pray for the Blakeney family back in Texas.  Gary Blakeney passed away suddenly Friday after a brain aneurysm burst unknowingly.  I was at LCU with his children Caleb and Sarah and am still friends with them.  Gary preached at Bertram Church of Christ for years." ...Stephanie Herbison
• "Prayers for my maternal grandfather and his family. He was diagnosed with an inoperable lung tumor earlier this week. Doctors say he only has a few months left."  ...Andrew Lindahl
