February 17 Notes

Sorry for the delay in getting prayer requests posted the last two weeks.  Here are the prayer request cards turned in Sunday morning, February 17:

• Judy Hill would like to thank all for calls and cards during her recovery from surgery.
• Thank you to everyone who attended our Valentin dinner. We raised close to $400 for our LTC trip. (Larissa Macomber)
• Elnora Oelze (preacher's wife in Anacortes) passed out Wednesday night at church and went to the ER with an enlarged heart. She went on to Bellingham. After tests, there seemed to be no other problems and she was sent home. Pray for no other problems and good health and healing for her.  Also, for Don Oelze and the back pain he has been suffering.
• Prayers requested for Karla and the kids to get better. They are dealing with flu right now. Thank you. (John Williamson)
• Praise that Mindy Singleton's father is healing well from his surgery!
• Praise that Cathi is home.  Pray for her mom who is struggling after her stroke and under the stress of moving in with us. Cathi is home today taking care of her.  Andrew is doing great, less 1/2 a kidney. (Andy Adams)

February 3 Notes and Prayer Requests

• "Prayers for Mindy's dad, Howard Taylor, that his surgery Friday will go well. Praise that Mindy was able to get an MRI on her neck and prayers that it will yields results and possible solutions."
• "Prayer request for the little boy in Alabama -- that he will be safely free ASAP.  Thank you." ... Karla Williamson.
• "Please pray for the child in Alabama and for the man who is holding him hostage:  that the boy will be released safely to his parents and that the man's heart will be softened and respond to the child's distress and that he will receive the mental health care he needs."
• "Please continue to pray for us as Casey continues looking for a job and I deal with my back pain. It can be hard to stay strong with all our trials but we are holding on. That you for your prayers and support in these hard times."  ... Darcie Newman
• Please continue our prayers for the Kimberlys. This week is a critical step for their particular problem.
• Please pray for Leta. She is at the emergency room for a fall. [Leta has been admitted to the hospital. She is sore and hurting, but does not have any broken bones. She is not sure when she will get to go home, but hopefully that will happen soon.]
• Nancy Pace is recovering at home after her surgery. She is still having a good bit of pain, but is doing much better overall.

January 27 Prayer Requests and Notes

Prayer requests:

• For Joseph Williamson, who is at home sick today.
• For Marge Easley (who was able to be back at services today).
• For Jim White, who is home sick today
• For Judy Hill, who is recovering from shoulder surgery
• For Nancy Pace, who is recovering from surgery and remains in Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.
• For Vivian Pitner who continues to feel poorly
• For Jim Wilkison who is recovering from an injured back after a bad fall
• For Gayle Brisky (who was also able to be back at services today).
• For Mary Pendergrass who was home sick.
• For Dick & Jody Brown (who were improved enough to be back at services today).

Upcoming Events:

• Sermon/Study tonight -- "Calvinism and Arminianism" (Part 2 of a study about Calvinism) 6 p.m.
• Wednesday Night Work Night (after the devotional) Wednesday night, January 30, 7 p.m.
• Steve Diggs will be with us February 3-4 for the No Debt No Sweat! Money Management Seminar.  He will begin the program by teaching a combined Bible class next Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and preach during the 10:30 a.m. service.  We'll have a quick Simplified Potluck (sandwiches, salads, and soups) together, then get set up for the first official session of the seminar from 1-3 p.m. next Sunday.  Then Monday night, from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. the seminar concludes.  
• February 10 -- Regular morning services, followed by our 2nd Sunday Potluck, then the Area-Wide Singing at 2 p.m.

Sunday Notes and Prayer Requests

From Sky Brown:  Thanks that God answered my prayer for my promotion. Prayer that in public service God will get the praise. Prayer that God will cleanse me from sins that trip me up and that he will give me the ability to make the right decisions. I can't do it without him.

From Andy Adams: Pray for Andrew that God would heal him and he could keep his kidney. Pray for me as I streuggle with loneliness as I miss Cathi, and that I would not cut myself off from the world.  Pray for Cathi as she takes care of Andrew to stay strong in Christ.

From Faith Williamson: Pray for the people who are in the Life Care Center, for our neighbors who are preparing to retire and move, and for Adam and Paula Williamson.

From Craig Pitner: Please keep Vivian in top of your prayers. She is still having stomach problems, confusion, memory ... also special concerns for the Kimberleys.

Others to Remember:   Jim Wilkison, who continues to have a lot of pain with his back; Mary Pendergrass who is sick today; Judy Hill, who will have shoulder surgery Wednesday; Gayle Brisky, who is suffering with shingles.

Wednesday Night Prayer Requests

• Rentz Gullick's sister Joyce has stomach flu.  He requests your prayers for her healing.
• Please continue to remember Judy Hill as she awaits shoulder surgery.
• Continue your prayers for Andrew Adams. He and his mom Cathi are now in Oklahoma where Andrew will continue his recovery from the skiing accident. Travel expenses were covered by a Christian friend. Andrew will see his specialist next week.
• Mary Pendergrass was not feeling well.
• Jim Wilkison is still recovering from his fall.
• Becky Williamson is making good progress recovering from her surgery.
• Don Oelze is having painful back trouble. Please keep him in your prayers.
• Tami Beach's mother was to start her chemotherapy Thursday.
• We're thankful for our young children who understand the power of prayer and continue to offer prayer requests for their families each week.  Sophia, Eli, and Joseph had prayer requests of that sort this week.

January 6 Prayer Requests

Jim Wilkison fell and bruised his tail bone and pinched a nerve. He is in some pain.  Please pray for a speedy recovery.

Pray for Tami Beach and her family (her mother has been diagnosed with advanced cancer) and for Andrew Adams and Cathi Adams.  Andrew is having surgery today in Colorado to insert stents in his kidney that was injured in a skiing accident several days ago.

Pray fo Gayle Brisky who is not feeling well. She will have tests this week to determine treatment and next steps.

Pray for Judy Hill who is scheduled for surgery on her shoulder on January 27, but hopes to get in earlier for the surgery if the doctors' schedules permit.

Karee Blunt is home sick today.
