Hope you had a great day! My husband, Mike, and I would also like to welcome you to Skagit County. We were excited to see you had created this blog. I am really looking forward to a conversation about what is happening at our church and what suggestions you have for its future.
Millissa, thanks for the welcome. We are "chomping at the bits" waiting til we can get moved to Burlington. At the same time, the experience is tinged with sadness because we're leaving people who have been a very important part of our lives for 15 years.
I believe the Skagit Valley church has tremendous potential for the future. I don't have all the answers for the specific things we need to be doing. We'll have to work all that out together. However, I know that unity, trust in the Lord, submission to His will, and a willingness to get involved and work hard to build the church and reach lost souls are all necessary ingredients in the recipe for moving the church in the right direction.
Trish and I are looking forward to getting to know you and Mike better.
Good morning, I want you to know this is the 1st time I've ever used a "blog". However, it's the first one established (that I've seen) for a very good reason! :-) Anyway, just want you two to know I'm looking forward to you getting here. I'm hoping you have a great day & that God will bless your transition so that it will be smooth & uneventful. Becky
Good morning John and Trish, We just want you both to know that we look forward to serving with you here in Burlington. We don't, however, envy your "busy-ness" in preparation for the move! haha Wish we could help out, but it'd be a little difficult to just pop over to pack a box or two for you. Seriously, our family is very eager for yours to get here so that we can get to know you all better through serving our Lord together. We keep you in prayer, Judy & Allen
