October 9 News and Notes

It was great to have brothers and sisters from Skagit Valley, Mount Vernon, and Anacortes congregations joining together in number to praise the Lord in song this afternoon at the Mount Vernon building. The next singing will be the 2nd Sunday in December and will be hosted by the Anacortes church ... they will decide whether to host it in their building or here in Burlington.

From this morning's cards-turned-in for prayer requests and announcements:

  • Please continue to pray for my Dad -- for his health in all aspects and that he will feel God's kindness. Thank you -- Karla.
  • Samantha Tompson is in Children's Hospital in Seattle fighting leukemia. She is Jud and Candy's niece and is 17 years old.
  • Adam got accepted to take the next part of the test for the job he is applying for. Please pray that he will do good and get the job. Thank you.  -- Candan
  • Please pray for my sister-in-law, Kim Mackey, as she awaits a liver transplant. Also my sister-in-law, Donna Mackey, as she heals from two hip replacements in the past month. Please remember our elderly, especially those who can't be with us, such as Elmer and Jean.  -- Judy Hill
  • Praise for the safe return of Judy Hill and the Gaineses, and all who have been traveling. -- Allen
  • One of my professors reccommended me for a year-long internship with a church in Oklahoma to work with the teens under the guidance of the youth minister. Hopefully, sometime this week I will have a Skype interview to talk with the youth minister. This is a big step where I would receive a lot of experience. Pray that I get the internship.  ...Andrew Adams
