December 4, 2011 News and Notes

Next Sunday, the names of three men will be presented to the congregation as men the Business Meeting of the church recommends as our new elders. Any member of the congregation then will have two weeks to present any scriptural objections to any of these men becoming an elder. This process is expected to culminate with the appointment of a new eldership early in the new year.

From Sunday's notes and prayer requests:

  • Update from Candan:  "Adam had his interview Thursday. We find out after the 1st if he gets it or not. Please continue to pray for us. Thank you."
  • All are invited to the Hills for their annual Adult Christmas Party on Saturday, December 17, 6 p.m., at Allen and Judy's house in Acme.
  • From the Blunts: "Prayers that Karee will get over her cold quickly and all the kids will remain healthy."
  • From Judy Hill: "Please be praying for our new granddaughter, Haidynn as she is scheduled for another surgery today at 2:00.  Also, please pray for little 2-month-old Sarah, who had heart surgery at Children's Hospital on Friday and for 7 year old Braydon who's been diagnosed as autistic."
  • Please remember Elmer Juntenen (who would like to receive visits or calls) and for Ruth Lake Wilkison.
  • From Derek Baraclow: "Thank the Lord that I have been working, and hope that it keeps up."
  • Trish Gaines was sick today with a virus of some sort. Please keep her in your prayers.
